Your information
Privacy policy
This policy describes the current offline app and this support website. The planned cloud-enabled version is described separately below; it has not yet been released.
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or deletion requests, contact englishmemorypalace.support@gmail.com. You can also use the instructions on our account and data deletion page.
Current offline app
The app keeps vocabulary reviews, schedules, saved sessions, learning activity, notes, word suggestions, preferences and source-progress observations you choose to restore in Android’s application-private storage. A random local learner identifier connects your history. The existing offline releases do not require an online app account or automatically send these records to us.
The app uses authored teaching content. There are no advertisements or runtime AI services. The offline releases do not include an analytics service that uploads your learning activity.
Backups and exports
You choose when to export a progress backup, media pack or feedback file and where Android saves it. These files may contain personal notes and learning history. They are not password-encrypted by the app. A storage provider you select may upload them under its own terms. Automatic Android app backup is disabled; exported files remain until you delete them separately.
Sending an export to another person gives that recipient its contents. Opening an external link uses your browser and that website’s privacy practices. Offline copies on different phones do not synchronize automatically.
Local retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them through the available controls, replace them through an explicit restore, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings or uninstall it. We cannot remotely erase an offline phone or a file you saved elsewhere. Remove exported files through their storage provider. See deletion instructions.
Planned cloud-enabled version
The planned version requires Microsoft Entra sign-in and an initial catalogue/image download, then supports offline study. Optional automatic daily synchronization and an explicit Sync now action send learning evidence, notes and revisions, suggestions and privately restored source observations to the authorized account in Microsoft Azure. Unfinished study queues remain device-scoped.
It records individual app lifecycle, screen-navigation, card-display, reveal/rating, image-interaction and feature-use events, plus foreground durations. Durations use a monotonic clock. Detailed usage and learning records are associated with the account when synchronized and are retained indefinitely until explicitly deleted. Analytics exclude note text, typed input, access tokens and HTTP request bodies; personal note synchronization is separate from analytics.
Authentication tokens stay in the authentication library’s private cache and are excluded from progress backups. The planned API, SQL database and private image/recovery storage use Microsoft Azure; transfers use HTTPS. The implementation requests 30-day operational diagnostic retention and seven-day database recovery-backup retention. Those deployed settings must be verified before release.
Editing or deleting a synchronized note retains historical revisions and tombstones to resolve conflicts. Complete cloud-data deletion is separate: it removes active cloud learner/usage records and cloud recovery exports. A minimal account-suppression record prevents disconnected devices from silently recreating deleted data. Database recovery backups expire on their configured retention schedule. Deleting app data does not delete your Microsoft identity account, other phones’ local copies or downloaded exports.
This website and support email
This website contains no app sign-in, upload form, advertising, tracking pixels or analytics scripts added by us. Cloudflare hosts the pages and may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy information.
If you email support, your email address and message are processed through Gmail to answer your enquiry or handle your request. Support correspondence remains in the support mailbox until deleted by the operator. Send only the information needed for your request; do not send credentials or identification documents.
Google Play and policy changes
Google independently processes developer-account, installation, update and store-service information under its policies. Play distribution does not by itself upload your learning records to us. We will update this page when the app’s data practices change.
